Chief Executive Officer
Eric Galvin is the Chief Executive Officer of PopHealthCare and Emcara Health. A visionary healthcare leader with extensive executive experience spanning three decades, he has worked across healthcare stakeholders to improve the health and well-being of the communities he serves. He has also effectively worked with entities including elected and appointed state and federal officials and local organizations alike to make healthcare more affordable, more impactful and a better experience for patients and caretakers.
Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Eric held dual roles as the EVP, Chief Growth and Medical Cost Officer of EmblemHealth and the President of ConnectiCare. He has also held key roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, Cigna, Andersen and Price Waterhouse.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut with degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems, Eric also completed an executive education program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Eric has been active in the communities in which he works and lives, including roles on the boards of directors for Junior Achievement and the United Way. He co-founded a 501c(3) organization “Partners in a Healthier Connecticut” which sought to improve the delivery of care for patients with chronic conditions and was also the Chair of the Board for the CT Insurance & Financial Services industry group (CT-IFS) as well as a board member of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) and the technology company MediKeeper. Eric lives in Connecticut with his family and enjoys traveling and the challenge of high-performance driving.
